Excel Pivot table error - reference is not valid

If you meet the above error when you try to use Pivot table in Excel, that is usually because of the file name.

If the file name includes [ ], such as myexcelfile[1].xlsx, you will see the above error message.

Just remove [] from the name, then it will be okay.

If I open an excel file in the evernote, evernote automatically add [1], [2] to the file name.
